So....when I look at my personal wellness I know there are many of areas that really need a lot of work. Let me just start by rating them.
Physical wellness is at about a 4 out of 10.
Spiritual wellness is at about an 8 out of 10.
Psychological wellness is at about a 6 out of 10.
I know physically there is so much more that I should be doing. I tend to get myself completely evolved in my work and school and home life that I don't take the time to get anything done for me. My new physical goal is going to be giving myself 30 minutes a day for a walk or some other type of activity just for me. I would also like to learn yoga. From all the research I have done, I think this activity will help me in all three stages of wellness.
I also think it is important to add different things into your life. I think this is possible just by changing direction in your walk of the day, or adding skipping and hopping into my walks. Remember when we were little kids and we didn't even think about exercise and how to incorporate it into our lives??? That is what I want to get back to. Run out in the yard, skip down the street, dance goofy around the house. Of course, now I think I will make sure all the shades are shut and the kids aren't home....don't want to embarrass them.
